Boston, Massachusetts, 1905: All the Irish in South Boston knew Robynn McCree. She righteously stood for them and fought against prejudice and abuse. It was through Robynn’s acts of persuasion that Boston’s Irish were given a fair chance to earn a day’s wage in a city dominated by the Brahmin of Beacon Hill. Her riotous gang served as her family for fifteen years, tending to her needs, fighting by her side, and providing her with loyalty and respect. But when her brother and sister arrive from Ireland, Robynn’s decision to throw her brother into the political arena soon wreaks havoc throughout Ward 6. Through jigs, ballads and Irish reels, we are thrust into the life that is Robynn McCree.
