Outsidee Mullingar

a Play by John Patrick Shanley

Calliope is excited to collaborate with Pilgrim Soul Productions in presenting Outside Mullingar, a play that is set in rural Ireland, as the perfect theatre production to attend around St. Patrick’s Day this year.

Written by American playwright John Patrick Shanley, who won an Oscar for the 1987 film Moonstruck and both a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award for his 2004 drama Doubt: A Parable, Outside Mullingar is a charming and compassionate play that the New York Daily News called, “a valentine to the wonder and weirdness of love.”

Outside Mullingar concerns two neighboring (and feuding) families and focuses on their two respective offspring, who have known each other all their lives and who don't understand enough about themselves to recognize what they want from life - or from each other.
