The Broadway Musical by Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart This Broadway musical by Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart was first produced on in 1964 and earned 10 Tony Awards – making it one of the most highly acclaimed musicals of all times. The plot, which focuses on the machinations of Dolly Levi, a local matchmaker in Yonkers, NY, is set in motion when two store clerks who play hooky from work to travel to New York City for a care-free adventure. They soon cross paths with their boss Horace Vandergelder who thinks the two men are minding his store back in Yonkers. Meanwhile, Dolly goes through the motions of finding Horace a new wife when - in fact – she herself intends to be his bride. Confusion and deception run rampant, and everyone winds up getting arrested and tried for disturbing the peace before the predictable happy ending occurs. Performance Schedule
