Calliope 2010 Summer Teen Musical

Calliope Productions is accepting registrations for its 20th Annual Summer Teen Musical production, which will be conducted at Calliope's Theatre at 150 Main Street in Boylston, MA.

This program is designed for students ages 13 - 18, and will meet on Sunday - Friday evenings, 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm, beginning June 20. (There will be no rehearsal on Sunday, July 4.) It will end with performances of Les Miserables, a school-edition musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schoenberg, on Tuesday - Saturday, July 20 - 24.

During the course of this workshop, students will learn and develop several performance skills including speech, voice projection, singing, stage movement, choreography, and characterization, and will learn about technical and practical aspects of presenting plays as they work towards staging this musical production.

The workshop will be taught by Dave Ludt and John Leslie, Calliope's Artistic Directors. The tuition fee is $200 per student, with space filled on a first-come basis.
