2010 Spring Pre-Teen Workshop

Calliope Productions is accepting registrations for its 20th Annual Spring Pre-Teen Youth Theatre Workshop, which will be conducted at Calliope's Theatre at 150 Main Street in Boylston, MA.

This program is designed for students ages 8 - 12, and will meet on Saturdays at 9:30 - 11:30 am, beginning February 6. It will end with performances of From Borders to Bridges, a one-act musical play by Jill and Michael Gallina, on March 28 at 2:00 and 4:00 pm.

During the course of this workshop, students will concentrate on performance-related skills such as diction, voice-projection, singing, stage movement, choreography, and characterization, and they will learn about technical and practical aspects of presenting plays as they work towards staging a production.

The workshop will be taught by Megan Reidy, Jan Fuller and John Leslie with others on Calliope's staff. The tuition fee is $150 per student, with space filled on a first-come basis.

Registration requires a non-refundable $50 deposit. The balance is due on February 6.

2010 Summer Pre-Teen Workshop

The Summer Pre-Teen Youth Theatre Workshop Program is Into the Woods (Jr) by Stephen Sondheim.

It starts on Thursday, July 1, and meets Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Performance presentations will be given at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, July 28, through Saturday, July 31.

The cost is $350 per student, with space filled on a first-come basis.

The workshop will be taught by Dave Ludt and John Leslie, Calliope's Artistic Directors.

2010 Fall Pre-Teen Workshop
The Fall Pre-Teen Youth Theatre Workshop Program is Use Your Imagination, a one-act musical play by Jill and Michael Gallina.
It meets on Saturdays, 9:30 - 11:30 am, beginning September 25.

Performance presentation will be given on Sunday, November 14, at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

The cost is $150 per student, with space filled on a first-come basis.
