A Musical Revue
Conceived and directed by Calliope's Co-Artistic Director, John Leslie, Love is in the Air II is a special musical revue for Valentine's Day weekend.
Musical numbers in the show feature both popular standards and novelty numbers, and include such songs as When I Fall in Love, Let Me Call You Sweetheart, and many other songs from Broadway, films, and the Great American Songbook. Love Makes the World Go 'Round inspires a segment depicting a European "Grand Tour" looking for love (in all the wrong places?).
The cast of the Love Is in the Air II consists of Calliope veterans Tracy DeBlois, Kathy Gantman-Lillis, Ray Gaspari, Jane Grady, Chris Harris, James Haupt, Ellen Lawlor, Sal Luco, and Dave Ludt, and new-comer Alex Gaspari. John Leslie provides his own piano stylings, accompanied by percussionist Phil Andrews.
There is much new music and fun this year, plus a 50/50 raffle for a great Valentine's basket of chocolates, wine, and more!
