The story you thought you knew! Ida and her husband, Drake, have a new brood, but the clutch has one inordinately large egg this year. When it hatches, the new chick, Ugly, says "honk" instead of "quack." The other farmyard fowl ridicule him, but Tom, the cat, invites him for lunch. Months later, after many adventures, Ugly is reunited with his mother in a happy ending.
Based on the classic tale by Hans Christian Anderson, Honk! is crammed full of jokes, with lovely tunes and amusing lyrics. A classic tale for today's audiences.
