The story begins with MaryAnne, who is 49.999 and unhappy about turning The Big Five-Oh. What comes next is the story of fun, friendship and forgetting about things that simply don't matter. She meets several remarkable red hatted women who teach her about fun and friendship after 50 through stories and fabulous songs. In addition to highlighting the inward and outward signs of maturing, HATS! The Musical addresses the domestic duties, loss of loved ones, breast cancer, empty nests, and the needs of a women. Each of these remarkable ladies celebrates life with youthful attitudes, and encourages all of us to embrace our age, elevates the wisdom from experience, and showcases the emotional relevance, vitality and inner beauty of being a woman.
