Auditions for the 2009 Performance Season

Auditions for The Front Page, a comedy by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur, will be held on

  • Friday, December 12, 7:00 - 9:00 pm
  • Sunday, December 14, 2:00 - 4:00 pm

    First staged with thunderous success in 1928, The Front Page, with its grittiness and realism in depicting the corruption and greed of politics, news media, and criminal court system, changed the face of American drama. The show will be directed by Walter Schumacher.

    Casting requirements:

  • 17 men, late 20s and older
  • 5 women, ditto

    Rehearsals start on January 11. Rehearsals are scheduled for Sunday afternoons, and Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

    The Front Page will be presented March 12, 13, 14, 15; 20, 21, 22.

    Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
